Notes From Hobo

The food source brought home a new play thing for me. It is a shiny thing on a short chain that I can swat and it moves but it comes back because of the chain. The food source calls it a "laser" but I don't understand what that is. Sometimes he points the end of the "laser" at the floor or the wall but I am more interested in swatting it.

I have been going outside but only on something called a patio. This "patio" has a wall around it with no holes but it has a shelf on top of it. I can sit on the shelf and look at the real outside but I can't get there. The wall has some kind of force field to stop me. It looks like it would be a big jump but I think I can make it, but that darned force field is stopping me, for now anyway.

The food source asked me to have a little space and he has been kind of nice so I will give him few lines:

Hobo's food source here, I am not sure how many people here are racing fans, specifically NHRA Drag Racing, but yesterday afternoon Scott Kalitta was killed when his Funny Car exploded during a qualifying run. The explosion happened just before the finish line where the car would have been running in excess of 300 miles per hour. I hope that everyone will sends some purrs to his family and friends.

Hobo again. I don't know anything about that racing stuff but the food source really likes it, all kinds of it. I let him watch as long as he takes care of my needs and wants while he watches too.

Finally the weekend

It is finally Saturday here and the food source has the day off. He is watching some TV now, NASCAR I think, but he enjoys it. I let him watch as long as he does not forget about my needs. If he gets too involved with what is on the TV I just go over and tickle his feet, that gets his attention right away.

The flooding that you hear about on the news is not far away from here but where I am will be dry or we will all need a BIG boat. There are a lot of kitties that are not so lucky and they need our purrs big time.

I am still trying to think about things to say here but I am really happy to see that lots of kitties have come to my blog and left comments.

I also want to wish all the beans out there a Happy Father's Day. I will probably try to take it easy on the commands for the food source on Sunday as long as he takes care of my right that is.
He does ok most times but there are times when I really need to get his attention and I have to get ruff to do it.

If any one has any training hints both he and I are a little new at this. I have never had the chance to try to train a rookie food source like this one. I know he talks to the clowder's food source sometimes so maybe he is getting tips there.

I will try to post more pictures as I go along and my bean gets them loaded on the computer for me.

Hobo Here

I used to be homeless and I started to hang out at my food source's brother's house but there were too many other cats already there. They let that food source know that I was not really all that wwelcome there. Arrangements were made to allow me to live with the food source's brother, so I stayed with the Lee County Clowder for a while until proper arrangements for my transportation to my new home. Once I arrived at my new home I started to take over immediately since I could see that much needed to be done to make it a good place for a kitty to stay.

The food source has made lots of improvements under my direction but we still have a ways to go. I have a place to look out the window and a really nice climbing tree to sit on when I can't go out on the patio. I also have several scratching posts that I use sometimes, when I am not trying to get the food source to pay better attention to me. I will try to keep up posting here most weekends when the food source is free and I can get him to help with the typing until I learn how to work the computer better.

Hello World

Hobo's food source here, this is my first try at blogging and both Hobo and I have a lot to learn about it. We are both pretty fast learners so I am sure that things will look better in a little time.

A little note on how Hobo and I got together. My brother is food source for a small group of cats and Hobo was hanging out around their house. He seemed like a friendly guy and I agreed to let him move in with me. He came up one Saturday morning and when he was released from the transporter just took a look around and started giving orders.

He now monitors every facet of our home life and even decides how much time we should spend on the computer. I will get some pictures up as soon as I can and Hobo approves the choices.
